The effect of a proposed teaching model based on modern Technology in Teaching Listening Competencies to EFL Sinai Higher Institute

The present study aimed at investigating the effect of using the proposed teaching model using modern technology on the development of EFL University students listening skills. The study adopted the experimental design, using one experimental and one control group. The experimental group received training through the proposed teaching model, at the same time, the control group continues to study the content in the traditional way. To determine the necessary Listening skills for EFL University students, checklist was designed and necessary listening skills were approved by the jury members. Based on these Listening skills, listening test was developed and used as apre-post test. The teaching model was developed by the researcher to teach the listening Competencies. Results indicated that there was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group on the post test in the overall listening competence. Results also revealed that there was a statistically significant difference between mean scores of experimental in the press and the post test favoring the post scores.
